My Practice is a visual diary of situations and scenarios, observations of life around me. I am fascinated by the interactions and emotions of a situation and an environment - the moment. I aim to catch the energy of this moment within my paintings. The moment being: the space between, the realisation, the colour, the fragrance, the possibility.
         
I use a mix of mediums and substances, built up in thin layers; some pieces have ashes of previously burnt paintings and poems layered into them. Others have a simpler narrative. The finished works have a smooth surface and rich depth reminiscent of ancient Venetian frescoes, the ghosts of longing.
