The pieces I am creating are flower collages.

They are made entirely from plant material-leaves, petals, grass. No other technique such as painting or drawing is used.
 
The essence of my art lies in its engagement with nature:
I am not attracted by the flowers in high bloom but, rather, by the uprooted, damaged by rain, or simply withering flowers that have lost their original shape or colour.
 
My pictures intend to give these flowers another life in which they are incorporated in a dramatic design or a story and are able to regain their initial beauty without becoming merely decorative.

Due to their organic nature “the originals” are extremely fragile and gradually lose their initial colours.

Limited edition copies are produced as pictures and greeting cards. These may be compared to a short- lived ice sculpture captured on camera.
