Drawing forms the basis of my work – the study of pattern, rhythm, movement, life cycles and evidence of time in the natural world. Ideas evolved from this practise may be translated through a range of media – painting, sculpture, photography, installation and site specific pieces. A specific exhibition, commission or site will partly determine my choice of media. In the studio, I work on individual paintings and sculpture using wire and recycled materials – which may be used in a variety of ways. Throughout, I remain close to an attitude of drawing – experimentation, lightness of touch, open ended approach and linear forms.
